Isabel is a Lawyer (Spanish qualified) and works in our Madrid office.
Isabel assists particularly on a variety of EUIPO matters, specialising in inherent registrability objections and in submissions in oppositions.
Before joining Boult Wade, S.L, Isabel worked in the International Department as a qualified Lawyer in Visualiza Legal. She also gained very valuable experience in her role as an examiner at the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office). In addition, Isabel lectures at University to graduate-level students, PhD students and lawyers. She is also a professor on several online courses of Tirant Lo Blanch. Isabel is author of the book “Protección jurídica y eficiacia del diseno industrial no registrado” (Legal protection and effectiveness of the Unregistered Community Design) and she is the author of various collaborative works in relation to Intellectual Property. She has also written various articles for El derecho Editores and Audiovisual 451.
Isabel is a native Spanish speaker and fluent in English and Italian.
Isabel has a Master’s degree in European Union Law from A Coruña University, a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property and a PhD in Intellectual Property (Trademarks and Designs) from Carlos III University of Madrid.
