Boult Wade Tennant is a forward thinking, dynamic and innovative IP company based in London; which is considered by its peers and clients to be the leading UK firm in its practice areas. Established in 1894, we are proud of our long heritage, our reputation for outstanding quality and excellence and our pioneering culture. We see ourselves as enablers, not just patent or trade mark advisors. We enable our clients to achieve their commercial ambitions by offering straightforward and practical IP advice.
We are unwavering in our commitment to high standards of customer service and professionalism. We are truly client focused. We understand our clients, and to help us fully tune into their needs, we launched one of the IP attorney sectors’ most comprehensive client feedback programmes to measure just how focused we are and to ensure we remain the most client-centric IP firm in the UK. We recognise the need for continuous improvement and know that by remaining true to our heritage, and with the commitment of all employees, we will continue to deliver excellent client service. The awards we receive only motivate us further to maintain the high standards we have worked to achieve; being recognised as a tier one IP firm allows us to show our clients our dedication towards providing the quality of service that we do.
It is our down-to-earth approach that means we focus on the things that really make a difference to our clients; such as the approval process, how we charge, how we communicate and how we project manage. We are well-known in the marketplace by our clients and our peers as being a highly proactive and pragmatic intellectual property rights firm.
At the heart of any good brand there is a big idea that is simple, memorable and true. For Boult Wade Tennant the big idea is: we aim to work with our clients, not just for them.
This is a statement of what we believe in: exceptional IP advice and exceptional client service. We believe in excellence. As an IP company, we want our clients to benefit not only from our excellent legal and technical quality, but also from the quality of the service we deliver.
Our culture is collaborative by nature. We believe this makes us different, because our success relies on the contribution of every single member of our firm. We work as a single IP firm across our five offices, from London to Munich, championing the integrity, innovation and distinctive skills demonstrated by each employee.
As a firm, we have identified five core values, which reflect our culture. These values underpin everything we do and help us to deliver our ambition.
- Delight: We deliver on our promise of providing a quality service to our clients
- Exceed: We provide patent and trade mark advice of the highest quality
- Respect: We build integrity, transparency and fairness into every aspect of our work
- Strive: We continually challenge ourselves to find better ways of working
- Care: We go out of our way to have a positive impact on society and on the environment
Strong leadership is essential for success, and for us, this means leading by example. We promote transparency and collaboration in everything we do, and encourage a sense of ownership among our staff. Everyone takes personal responsibility for playing a part in the firm’s strategy. This means we are more than just a group of exceptional professionals; we are a team, working together to deliver excellence.
