Qualifications
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Trade Mark Law, Queen Mary University of London
  • MA Translation Studies, University of Birmingham
  • BA French and German, University of Warwick

After nearly four years working in translation, relating to intellectual property, I decided to pursue a more hands-on role in the field. Having completed a summer scheme with Boult, I joined the firm and have since been progressing through the training required to become a qualified Trade Mark Attorney.

I always enjoy seeing new branding ideas and concepts that will soon be hitting the market. I strive to provide the best advice to clients on their trade mark portfolios, whether they are UK-specific, or worldwide in scope. During my training, I have gained high-level knowledge of trade mark prosecution procedures in a number of countries around the world.

I believe in supporting the next generation of diverse IP talent, so have volunteered for the firm’s Sutton Trust placement scheme, which offers work experience for school pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Recent experience

Assisting with a successful domain name complaint for a major retail brand that saw the domain transferred to the client’s ownership.

Gathering evidence for a major media brand in successful opposition proceedings against a UK trade mark application filed by a household name in the tech sector.

Assisting with the seizure by Italian customs authorities of counterfeit clothing bearing the trade marks of a big name in the field of sport.
