Lizzie Alexander

Patent Attorney

Lizzie joined the firm in 2024 as a Chartered and European Patent Attorney in the High Tech and Electrical group.

Lizzie enjoys the challenges often faced by trying to obtain patent protection for a client. Each patent is different, and she finds it rewarding working with clients, learning about their invention, and addressing any objections raised by the patent office to get the client the best protection possible for their invention.

Lizzie has experience drafting and prosecuting patents at the UK and European patent offices, as well as further afield. Lizzie’s particular expertise is in handling inventions in the fields of telecommunications, semiconductors, computer implemented inventions and medical devices. She also has experience prosecuting applications in AI and related fields such as computer vision and image analysis, including their applications in areas such as autonomous vehicles.

Lizzie has a Masters in Physics from the University of Nottingham where she specialised in quantum physics and its use in both modern technology and particle physics. In addition to this, she enjoys continuing to learn about new areas of science and its applications to real world technologies.
