Barbara assists clients, at a pan-European level, on an extensive range of IP matters including trade marks and domain names, trade secrets, copyright and unfair competition. She has extensive experience in global trade mark prosecution and handles a broad range of contentious matters, acting regularly before the German and European courts including the Court of Justice, EUIPO, WIPO and DPMA. Having lived and worked in Germany, Italy and the UK she has a vast understanding of European IP law. Barbara is adept at making the complex simple and finding practical solutions to complicated IP issues. She advises on strategies for protecting, managing and exploiting brands. She has a broad commercial practice with particular focus on issues in the fashion, luxury brands, and media and entertainment industries.
Barbara is an Attorney-at-Law (Rechtsanwältin) and admitted to the bar in Germany since 1996. She sits on ECTA’s Professional Affairs Committee and is also a member of the WIPO Link Committee.
