Qualifications
  • Registered Patent Attorney
  • Certificate in Intellectual Property Law, Queen Mary University of London
  • MEng (Hons) Aeronautical Engineering, Imperial College London

I enjoyed learning about science and technology during my degree but found that as it became more practical in research and design projects, my interest waned. A work experience period in patent law convinced me this was a career with the opportunity to be constantly learning about a huge variety of new technologies. I joined Boult to pursue that interest further.

I am now a Patent Attorney, assisting with the preparation and filing of patent applications and their prosecution at the UKIPO and EPO.

Getting to work with cutting edge inventions is why I followed a career in patent law, and it remains one of my favourite things about my work. It is always rewarding to get hands-on with an invention, to interrogate what makes it different from products already in the market and to find the words to define it perfectly, to achieve the best protection for a client.

Recent experience

Assisting in prosecuting a very broad aerospace patent through to grant using my technical background and expertise.

Drafting and filing patent applications for clients.

Assisting in the preparation of oppositions.
