I originally joined Boult over 27 years ago as part of the accounts department. When the opportunity arose to move into a paralegal role within both the patent and trade mark teams I jumped at the chance. For three years I worked on Hong Kong patent applications, drafting and filing assignment documents and managing change-of-name recordals in the UK and overseas.
Over time, I discovered my real interest lay in trade marks, so I began working more closely with the trade mark team, broadening my experience and leading to my foundation level trade mark qualifications from CITMA.
After a career break to bring up my family, I returned to Boult as a Customer Relations Specialist. I now work with one of our largest cosmetic clients, overseeing portfolio management, filings and assisting with prosecution work. I also draw on my accounts experience to manage the billing for this client, overseeing budgets and adapting to their needs – particularly around their financial year end.
A lot has changed over the years, but I continue to enjoy the challenges that come with my new role. I take pride in adapting to each client’s needs, building strong relationships, and ensuring they receive an exceptional level of service.
