News » Partners James Short and Rohan Setna discuss EPO oppositions and appeals in The Patent Law Litigation Review

Engineering and Designs practice group partner James Short, and Chemical and Materials practice group partner Rohan Setna have contributed to the recently published Patent Litigation Law Review – Edition 1.

Their chapter, entitled “Oppositions and appeals before the European Patent Office”, discusses the European Patent Office’s recent introduction of a streamlined opposition procedure and the general trend of the Boards of Appeal towards restricting the appeal process to being a review of the decision at issue rather than an opportunity to present a fresh case.
