Patent Attorney Olivia Murray is attending the Midlands Regional Meeting hosted by The Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys on Thursday 25 June.

Olivia will be presenting a session titled “Understanding Utility Models and Their Role in Intellectual Property Strategy”. The session will provide an overview of utility models, including where they are available, the types of innovations they can protect, and their duration.

The presentation will also examine the German utility model systems in greater detail, exploring how these rights can be used strategically alongside patent protection, as well as the associated costs and opposition procedures.
