I am a European Patent Attorney and Chartered Patent Attorney focusing on engineering and designs.

My practice focuses on the preparation, filing and prosecution of patent applications in the UK, Europe and further afield. I work with a diverse client base on cases relating to all fields of engineering, including construction, packaging, medical devices and alternative energy.

I hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and my doctoral research centred on the development of electrically active materials for bone graft substitution. My post-doctoral research in the field of medical engineering, included work on the design of artificial knee ligaments and test methods for pharmaceutical tablet coatings.

Recent experience

Representing a consumer goods client at an EPO opposition hearing, successfully defending its patent.

Drafting new patent applications for a leading drug delivery device manufacturer.

Assisting clients in coordinating complex US-European patent prosecution portfolios.
