Boult Wade Tennant
News » Introducing a new European trade mark litigation service

Until now Boult Wade Tennant has not offered a trade mark litigation service for clients. However, we can now do this through our German offices where we have experienced German trade mark litigation lawyers. Our German lawyers have a track record in dealing with disputes before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA), the German National Courts, and, at EU level, The General Court and The European Court of Justice.

Boult Wade Tennant can now act as a single point of contact for clients who want a UK and European trade mark dispute resolution service.

This means clients can be sure they will receive the same high quality advice they expect from us and a seamless and consistent style of service.

Michael C. Maier, Partner, is a lawyer based in our Berlin office. He specialises in trade marks, designs, copyright and unfair competition law. He has longstanding experience in representing clients in high profile disputes before the German and EU Trade Mark offices and the German national and European courts. Michael’s recent work includes:

  • Advising a luxury shoe brand in an important litigation case in Germany as well as at European level.
  • Representing a well-known computer game manufacturer before the General Court in four different cases.
  • Advising a well-known mobile communication provider in a pre-litigation case in Germany.

Alexander Stolz is a lawyer at the Berlin office with experience in a wide range of trade mark matters, both contentious and non-contentious. Alexander advises regularly on prosecution, portfolio management, licencing, and infringement matters, particularly in the areas of trade marks, designs, copyrights and unfair competition. He has also represented various clients before the General Court.

Together with our highly skilled team members in our UK, Frankfurt and Madrid offices, Boult Wade Tennant has ensured it can continue not only with business as usual, but also to offer these exciting new EU litigation services to its clients.

We would be delighted to discuss these services with you. Please contact your usual Boult Wade Tennant advisor or Michael directly (
