We currently have an opportunity for a trainee Trade Mark Attorney to join our Trade Mark team based in our London Office. The team consists of a number of trainees, qualified attorneys and Partners. It enjoys a wide variety of contentious and non-contentious work and is instructed by clients of all sizes across industry sectors including telecommunications, entertainment, fashion, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, retail, finance, sports and engineering.
Training will be provided on the job as well as through external training courses, fully funded by the firm. The aim is for the candidate to become a fully-qualified trade mark attorney.
The successful candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team as well as having good organisational and analytical skills and excellent oral and written communication skills. You must possess a commitment to quality and attention to detail as well as being able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

The successful candidate will be a keen learner who is able to quickly absorb and understand new concepts as they are taught through on the job training and external courses. They should then be able to apply this knowledge to ongoing matters. They will be able to assist with developing and maintaining excellent client relationships, as well internal working relationships. Attention to detail is a must, and a desire to develop your legal, business and interpersonal skills is key. We communicate with a range of clients from multinationals, down to one-person start-ups, as well as with overseas firms, and therefore communicating in the right tone and with the end audience in mind is extremely important. The successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate a willingness to be proactive, take on responsibility, and be able to effectively manage multiple ongoing matters and deadlines at once.
The preferred candidate will have at least a 2:1 degree or above in any subject.
