Jonathan Taylor

I first encountered IP and patents law as a profession was during my research career. I am the inventor on my own patent relating to virus identification, later developed into a 5 minute Covid-19 test.

During my PhD, I completed internships at two patent law companies gaining further experience of the profession, so moving into the field upon completion of my PhD was a logical step.

Although still relatively new to my IP career, I enjoy the problem/puzzle solving nature of the role. I have a keen interest in developing my knowledge of the legal concepts behind the patents and IP process, and in raising my commercial awareness and applying it to effectively solve clients’ problems.
