Boult Wade Tennant is delighted to share that a trainee patent attorney, Marcus Sims, has recently been awarded prizes from the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) in acknowledgement of his outstanding examination results. Marcus is part of the Chemical and Materials Group which is recognised in the industry for their depth of knowledge and their expertise in handling difficult European patent oppositions and appeals.

Marcus has been awarded:

  • Michael Jones Prize for the candidate passing Paper P4, the amendment paper, with the highest mark
  • Gill Prize for the candidate achieving the highest cumulative mark in the final papers: P2, P3, P4 and P6 for the UK patent attorney qualification

This impressive accomplishment is not only a reflection of Marcus’ hard work but also the quality of the training and support Boult Wade Tennant offers all trainees across the five practice groups.
