Firm news: Boult Wade Tennant records impressive results before the EPO

The patent attorneys at Boult Wade Tennant are well known for their expertise and advocacy skills for both contentious and non-contentious matters before the European Patent Office. In November 2014 alone, Boult Wade Tennant attorneys attended over 29 oral proceedings in Munich or The Hague.

We are pleased to report that we maintained our high success rate, achieving greater than an 85% success rate at Oral Proceedings before the Examining Division and an 85% success rate before the Opposition Division. We also had a 70% success rate before the Board of Appeal.*

One very significant win before the Opposition Division has been widely publicised. The ongoing battle between Boult Wade Tennant’s client ASSIA and BT has seen Partners Jo Pelly and Jason Pelly attending the High Court and UK Court of Appeal, and representing ASSIA at the EPO.
