MIP, the renowned IP magazine, annually undertakes an audit of IP firms on an international scale. Their rigorous research methods, conducted over many months, collates extensive client feedback, peer assessments and in-house counsel recommendations. The researchers use this insight to compile league tables based on the quality and depth of knowledge of firms.

Nick McLeish, Boult Wade Tennant’s Managing Partner commented: “Boult Wade Tennant is very proud that an independent source such as MIP has recognised the firm is at the forefront of its practice areas in the UK. On a personal note, I am particularly pleased that we are again the only firm to be credited with top tier ranking across both patent and trade mark practices in the prosecution category. I believe this is a reflection of our attorneys’ technical knowledge, commercial acumen and willingness to really think creatively for our clients.”

Of the two award nominations Rupert Cross, Boult Wade Tennant’s Senior Partner said: “It is excellent news that we were shortlisted for two prestigious awards: UK Patent Prosecution and UK Trade Mark Prosecution. The firm has consistently been recognised domestically and internationally as one of the leading UK firms of Chartered Patent Attorneys and European Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys and this year’s nominations and rankings reflect the team’s continued dedication and commitment to delivering a first class service.”
