In a nutshell: SCEE filed an opposition to the Community Trade Mark (CTM) LITTLEBIGTOWN based on the likelihood of confusion between this and SCEE’s well-known LittleBigPlanet trade mark.
The task: To successfully oppose the LITTLEBIGTOWN application in order to protect SCEE’s highly successful video game franchise and related merchandise.
Result: OHIM found that the similarities between each party’s marks were overwhelming and rejected the LITTLEBIGTOWN application.
