Boult Wade Tennant's Technical
Illustration Department prepares technical illustrations and artwork
suitable to accompany patent, design and trade mark applications. The department
uses the very latest in 2D and 3D software alongside more traditional
drawing methods. Our current software packages include SolidWorks
(sophisticated 3D software), Microsoft Visio (2D software), AutoCAD LT,
Adobe Photoshop CS, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint. We can also work from digital photography.
Technical illustrations can be generated
from a variety of sources from sketches, actual product items or
existing artwork to general briefings. Our illustrators are used to
working on all types of IP drawing and are experienced in liaising with
R&D departments, IP managers, in-house attorneys, product designers and
individual inventors in order to achieve the required results.
Our Technical Illustration Department
provides an efficient and cost-effective service to clients of all
types, from international conglomerates to UK companies, academic
institutions and individual inventors. These days R&D teams often use
design packages in the development of products, so the fact that our
in-house department is able to take a created file and manipulate it to
produce the required artwork can be an advantage in terms of time and money.
Our Technical illustrators are used to
working to deadlines. The artwork can be supplied in the electronic
format preferred, as a paper copy or as both. The length of time taken
will depend on requirements and how the design detail is supplied.
