Boult Wade Tennant's Renewals Department handles renewals of patent, design and trade mark registrations in-house. Our Renewals Department works closely with the firm's Records Department and both use our computerised records and renewals system.

Patent Renewals
Our Renewals Department sends out reminders of patents which are due for renewal, arranges for the payment of the necessary renewal fees and despatches the renewal certificates to the client. For countries where details of the working of a patent must be submitted, our renewals team will also attend to that.

Registered Designs
The firm's renewal service for registered designs is similar to that for patents. The Renewals Department will track the design registration renewal dates, which for designs are often at less frequent intervals than for patents, arrange for payment of renewal fees and deal with all the necessary paperwork.

Trade Marks Registrations
For trade marks, the Renewals Department undertakes the usual procedure - monitoring renewal dates, sending our reminders, arranging the payment of renewal fees and sending out renewal certificates. Where other formalities are required to renew a trade mark, such as providing evidence of use, our attorneys advise clients of the requirements to be met in each country and will assist in preparing the necessary documents. Where sworn statements or legalised documents are necessary, we can arrange for the attestation of the relevant documents.

Domain Name Registrations
Domain name registrations also need to be renewed periodically and our Renewals Department monitors renewal dates, handles renewals of domain name registrations and deals with the payment of renewal fees.
