Overflow Work
We handle overflow work on a short or long term basis. Work is either carried out at our office or we provide attorneys to work within an organisation's in-house department. Assistance can be provided on a recurring basis for a set number of days per week or on an ad-hoc basis for one or more days, weeks or months. Support can include all the usual aspects of patent and trade mark work including drafting, prosecution, opposition, litigation and foreign filing programmes.
Specific Projects
Our attorneys are available to assist with projects or individual matters and will act as outside counsel on a normal agency basis. Assistance can be given for routine matters or for those causing particular concern.
Crisis Management
We can provide an individual or team to assist when an in-house department is in difficulties due to sickness, unforeseen events or loss of staff.
Additional Support
Technical Illustration
Our Technical Illustration Department can prepare or manipulate technical illustrations to produce artwork suitable to accompany patent, design and trade mark applications. We use the very latest 2D and 3D software alongside more traditional methods. Current software packages include SolidWorks, Microsoft Visio, AutoCAD LP, Adobe Photoshop CS, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
Searching and Watching
Our Search Department provides a full range of search and watching services to help determine whether there are prior rights which would bar a patent, trade mark or design from use or registration. Searches and watches can also be used to monitor competitor activity and can assist with the policing and enforcement of intellectual property rights.
