29 October 2009 Boult Wade Tennant sponsors intellectual property seminar on IT and the technology sector
Boult Wade Tennant is working in partnership with BDO and Charles Russell to present a morning seminar on the latest IP issues and trends in the IT and technology sector. The seminar will be held on 24 November 2009 from 0930 to 1230 in the Doubletree by Hilton hotel in Cambridge. Boult Wade Tennant partner Neil Thomson will lead a practical discussion on how IT and technology companies should respond to the statutory restrictions placed by many countries on patenting software and business methods. Stuart Lisle of BDO will discuss the tax benefits of exploiting IP and Hamish Corner of Charles Russell will speak about the contract terms for protecting, licensing and managing IP. The sessions will be followed by a workshop to investigate how IT firms can apply best practice to protect and exploit their IP. Anyone interested in registering for this free seminar should contact Donna Ellis on 01223 535065 or email donna.ellis@bdo.co.uk. Lunch and parking at the hotel will be available.
