EPO OPPOSITION HEARING: ADAPTIVE SPECTRUM AND SIGNAL ALIGNMENT INC. (ASSIA)

In a nutshell: ASSIA sued British Telecommunications plc (BT) for patent infringement in the UK. The UK Court of Appeal found that BT was infringing two of ASSIA’s patents.

The task: We represented ASSIA at the European Patent Office (EPO) (EPO)to defend one of the infringed patents against an opposition filed by BT.

Result: The European Patent Office (EPO) (EPO)Opposition Division issued an interlocutory decision in favour of a claim set that includes the claim found to be infringed by BT in the UK Court of Appeal.
